EDINBURG, Texas - Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley is to host a “A Night with Driscoll” featuring Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, the groundbreaking, first-ever mariachi opera that debuted with the Houston Grand Opera in 2010.
The performance has toured major cities in the U.S. and will visit the Valley for the first time.
The event takes place at the UT-Rio Grande Valley Performing Arts Complex in Edinburg on Saturday, October 11. The performance starts at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Proceeds from A Night with Driscoll will benefit the Art Therapy Program at Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley.
“The program provides creative outlets that support the emotional and mental well-being of children receiving care,” Driscoll states.
“Attending or sponsoring this event directly helps bring these healing experiences to Driscoll patients in the Valley.”
