Keynote Address: Graduation Ceremony remarks from Singh, Hernandez, and Quisenberry

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - The PossAble Dream Adult High School held its inaugural graduation ceremonies recently. 

There were two ceremonies at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, for students graduating from the Pharr campus, and one ceremony at Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center, for students graduating from the Brownsville campus.

There were, therefore, three keynoted addresses. The two in Edinburg were given by Dr. Ambrosio Hernandez, mayor of Pharr, and Dr. Manish Singh, CEO of DHR Health. The one in Brownsville was given by Judy Quisenberry, executive director of Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation.

The Rio Grande Guardian was at all three ceremonies to video record all the keynote addresses. Here they are:

About Our School

The PossAble Dream Adult High School is a tuition-free public school that empowers adults ages 18 to 50 to earn their high school diploma and an industry certificate, while preparing for meaningful career opportunities. 

Established in August 2025, the school combines personalized instruction with industry-recognized certification programs aligned with high-demand careers. Students progress towards graduation at their own pace, while receiving career advising and comprehensive support services designed to help overcome the challenges that can make returning to school difficult. 

With campuses in Pharr, Brownsville and Edcouch-Elsa, the PossAble Dream is expanding access to education and workforce training across South Texas by connecting high school completion with post-secondary education and career pathways, the school helps adults build brighter futures for themselves and their families, while strengthening the region's workforce and contributing to long-term economic growth.

The PossAble Dream Adult High School empowers adult learners to earn a high school diploma and pursue college or technical training aligned with in-demand occupations.

Through personalized academic and non-academic support, including high-yield instructional strategies, career counseling, and mental wellness support resources, the school fosters an environment where every learner can reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their community.

The PosAble Dream Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operating the PossAble Dream Adult High School under Chapter 12, Subchapter G of the Texas Education Code.
