SAN JUAN, Texas - Janet Murguía, president of UnidosUS, recently met with community groups that help low-income families in the Rio Grande Valley.
The private meeting was held at the offices of La Unión del Pueblo Entero in San Juan.
After the meeting, Murguía gave an interview to the Rio Grande Guardian. She explained her concerns about federal funding cuts to Medicaid and Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
