Treviño: I walk away with my head held high

Posted
To my family, friends, supporters, volunteers, and every person who stood with me throughout this journey… thank you from the bottom of my heart.

While the election’s outcome was not what we hoped for, I walk away with my head held high, knowing that we gave this campaign everything we had. We stayed positive. We stayed respectful. We stayed united. And no one can ever take that away from us.

First and foremost, I want to thank my incredible wife, Erika, whose strength, patience, and love carried me through even the hardest days. To my mother, Evangelina, thank you for teaching me the values of hard work, humility, and perseverance that guided me throughout my life and this campaign.

To all the elected officials who stood beside me, thank you for your friendship, trust, and unwavering support. I will never forget it.

To my friends who lifted me up with the most incredible words of encouragement during these past months, thank you for reminding me every day why public service matters.

And to every volunteer who walked precincts, held signs, made calls, shared messages, prayed for us, and believed in this campaign… this journey belonged to you just as much as it belonged to me. Your passion and dedication inspired me beyond words.

Most importantly, thank you to every voter who placed your trust in me. Serving Cameron County has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will always be grateful for the opportunity you gave me to serve this community that I love so deeply.

Elections come and go, but our love for Cameron County remains. I sincerely wish my opponent success moving forward, because when our county succeeds, all of our families succeed.

This is not the end of hope, friendship, or community. It is simply another chapter in the story of a county filled with resilient, passionate, and caring people.

So let us move forward in the same way we carried ourselves throughout this campaign:

With dignity.
With positivity.
With faith.
And with love for one another.

Thank you, Cameron County.

Juntos… Together.
